The tour to the Mekong Delta was a bit disappointing. Maybe it is just me becoming increasingly demanding. Were my expectations too high?
Part of the tour was just taking us to places were people was trying to sell us some local stuff. I am not really interested in how people make noodles or sweets from soya beans.
Going to see those “workshops” is not my thing but this kind of tourism is now everywhere even in Europe, I went to the Netherlands and wasted time in this kind of traps. Probably the tour agents get a commission for taking people there…
Well I tried to take some shots, not very successful but here are some pics:
I would dare to say that duck is one of the most appreciated dishes anywhere in Vietnam.
So much for the floating market… did not see much going on. twenty years ago, perhaps?
After the Mekong Delta we headed to Can Tho for the tourist traps I mentioned above and later to Chau Doc on the border with Cambodia, the reason of my next post.
